Douglas “Rocky” Thurston is a Managing Director at Accenture, a global IT and Consulting firm, where he leads strategic planning, execution, and operational delivery to the Homeland Security market. Prior to Accenture, Rocky was the executive lead for Lockheed Martin’s Financial & Regulatory Services Division, serving the U.S. Public Finance domain. Rocky has proven experience leading service organizations and is highly effective at refining strategies and processes to grow organizations and deliver quality services to Federal clients.
Early in his career, Rocky served as a flight test engineer in the U.S. Air Force where he directed, planned, and executed testing and evaluation of fighter aircraft-software upgrades to the F-15 and F-16 radar and weapons systems.
Rocky holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of West Florida, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. A native of North Carolina, he lives with his wife and two children in northern Virginia.
