Dana Condemi was born in Seoul, South Korea and adopted by an American couple.   Having been born and raised the first 4 years of her life in South Korea, Dana arrived in the United States speaking only Korean. Dana quickly learned English and spoke fluent English within a year. Unfortunately, she lost her ability to speak Korean in the process.

Dana is an avid supporter of second language acquisition opportunities for children in pre-school and elementary school. She is an avid supporter of the Fairfax County Public School FLES (Foreign Language in Elementary Schools) program. Her two sons have benefited and greatly enjoyed the FLES program.

Dana attended Allegheny College and graduated with a BA in History and Political Science. She was a founding member of the Habitat for Humanity campus chapter. It was through her volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity that Dana’s priorities changed. Working side by side with families in the local community brought her great joy and fulfillment.

After touring the world as a cruise ship hostess, Dana focused her attention towards obtaining a Masters in Social Work. In 2001, Dana began working for the Fairfax County Department of Family Services as a Foster Care Social Worker. She currently works for Fairfax County Public Schools as a School Social Worker.
